10:30 AM · Departing Sheraton Marina, Harbor Island
"The time on the water belongs entirely to your family.
JADA and her crew are there to hold the space."
Saturday, May 23, 2026 · 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM
Once JADA clears the harbor, your captain will motor and sail to the scattering area — using whichever combination of motor and sail the wind allows — which typically takes about 50 minutes. When we arrive, the sails ease and JADA holds position. The ceremony itself usually runs 15–20 minutes — sometimes longer. We do not wish you to feel rushed during this sacred duty. What happens then is yours: words, music, silence, flowers, whatever your family needs. Afterward, wind permitting, we sail back toward the harbor; the crew brings down and stows JADA's three sails as we approach the dock (about 10–15 minutes), so the return is calm and unhurried.

Please arrive by 10:00 AM — thirty minutes before we depart — to allow time for boarding and a brief safety orientation.
Each adult guest is asked to sign a brief liability waiver before boarding. For your party's minors, a parent or guardian co-signs. Completing this in advance saves time at the dock so we can give your full attention to the ceremony itself.
If you'd like to share photographs from the day — before, during, or after — this page holds them for your family and friends to revisit. Use the event code we sent in your welcome email; photographs uploaded with the code appear in the gallery below immediately. Uploads without the code are queued for review to keep the page private to your party.
All ceremonies aboard JADA are conducted in accordance with U.S. Coast Guard regulations and EPA guidelines for burial at sea.
